Return from Grace

My soul lost in the twilight
Let’s go of the past

Tears still clouding my sight
From my shimmering eyes
I hear the soft crumple
Of leaves behind me

Humbly I turn, the descended
Angel stands before me
Her radiance
Shines out

Her presence drawing
Me to her like a current
Taking me into the folds
Of her amiable wings

The soft tepidness of her
Essence surrounds me
I find my heart that
Was once lost

Our hearts beat
As one, indistinguishable
Lifting my disparaging
Soul into the heavens

The wind rushes
Across our bodies

I look into her eyes
And the stars shimmer
In her tears

Without words
Spoken I see
The need of forgiveness

All is forgotten as
The constellations
Pass overhead

We become flaming comets
As we traverse the sky

Gliding across the
Heavens we unfold
As we become hidden
Among the stars

The unknown reveals itself
As we find the sweet
Bliss of ecstasy

My soul becomes free
From the tormenting winds
That has bound my spirit
For the last thousand years
