there's no recreating
the spark{y}
the rush
no turks to be found

a burst of time
when there was always
mor{s}
to read
to write
and
pearls of wisdom
before swine
{what an effing memory i have}
shines on
thru the forest
specks of sparkling gems
once upon a page

and like a permanent
fixture,
gray fades

we ruled the day
wrote the stories
of our lives
so short a span

it was a time
we all remember
and can't relive
