Subject: Catching the Mantra

This one is dedicated and written for my perfect friend and poet, who in a couple of days from now hits the road to the Third World Buddhist style pastures to work and show her great Humanitarian skills.

To Raphaela ~ have a safe and peaceful journey. Love Chills.

Catching the Mantra
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rainflower watches over her,
dreading the warmth sunlight that teases the rainbow to show her full adjectives
and as pure as fresh paper cut from Tantra
I find her kneeling there catching the Mantra
The road it has many winding dusted and hopeless corners that shapely bend to knowhere in particular,
an Ox for the carrying,
temples made from carmel steeped in religious freakness care not but for the harrowing,
Earth
Wind
Air & Fire they know and share like us in Western homeland comforts
saturated in commercial junk that spews pity and lies cowardly on itīs back in the face of greed,
there is simply no in between, when darkness falls it falls
when sunlight is born it is born~
there are no carnival cascaded neon torches that flicker r.e.m. in every street to remind you of what time it is, how much Coca Cola is or when the next show begins or who the Star might be that performs,
No, for they have no Coca Cola~
they have no Pokemon or TV~
and thank God there is still a place on Earth that has traditional values (but struggles) so that Western beings can switch channels to
and "learn"
I see her
I feel her
I treasure, believe and admire her
I am in awe of her
Gracious Queen of Quantra
as she lights a candle of hope, carefully on her knees
she is there catching the Mantra
