my blanket

a complex tread
from which i am sown
this colorful blanket
is a world of my own
in new found friends
i push for understanding
but they tear the material
so dam demanding
now im under its warmth
and i crawl like a child
dreaming of the days
when this cotton smiled
i wiggle my finger
throu its tears and holes
and so many stains
blunder its soul
for its happy birght color
glows in the day
but the shadows come so quickly
and never go away
