Through my pain I have come to know compassion
sweeping aside sorrow, through blinding darkness- effulgent light'
releasing my soul in innocent trust, like children seeking,
when faced overtime defeated, leaving me richer in sight;

Through my tears and wandering confusion, I unearthed joy
destroying barriers of materialism and creed,
which tried to steal away my freedom, my happiness
a daring attempt for negativity to feed;

Yet I entered the burning sunshine, all glorious
as a thousand doves seized away the night,
I developed, me... a golden butterfly
baring my heart to love -took flight;
