Creativity, exaggeration, and truth...all but dreams; nothing more than electric paintings
to relive, to submerge once again
within the warm waters of event...life.
Action throbs but words wimper.
Still we are convicted to try,
to try through conversation
to try through midnight ramblings
to try through this hobbled art
named literature,
to sail those shores
and greet that silver curtain
again
and again,
that others may plant their flag
and proclaim "This, I know!!"

Rafael...man, what a marvelous piece here. You clearly mastered not only symbolism, but conveyance with a universal voice. Dude, this so rocked! Took awhile to untangle, but definately well worth the effort...that last line...wow! Can't praise this enough, man.
Please see my response to Angel above, and know my apologies go out to you as well...forgot to mention to her that over Christmas I broke my third and fourth ribs on my left side snowboarding, thus adding to my distraction. Was hospitalized two days later for heart trauma and nerve damage from the incident. It is still difficult to type, having lost all feeling in my left hand, and there was a period there that I missed much. Things are getting better, though, and I hope to once again take part in the fullness of web poetry, if you all will still have me....
Loved this piece, and the inspiration it delivered...do ya think that the poem above has enough merit to go it alone?
