sleep is not needed
there is a high in this.
with no food
there is a maddening
feeling - feeding
frenzy of the soul.
turns the pages;
softens, as it sharpens
the words.
spilling from my gut
that has been emptied,
made room for the words
to dance.

inside-
anorexia of the heart,
the soul evaporates
and words are all that are left.
can a soul survive on
words and promises
unseen?

images of forgotten
words are still;
anorexia of the soul,
vacant heartbeats
disappear behind
curtains drawn, as
blood.

and baby,
baby, how do i tell you,
what has died only to be
reborn in anothers
dreams; spilled over
into anothers heart..
skipping depths to retrieve
a souls ghost.

making shapes from
puzzles and nothing is
as clear as mournings.

anorexia in a mirror,
-distorted-
far too many;
selfishly seeing
layers inside.

'baby, baby, can i hold you tonight....'

and i never have the right words
at the right time....
