ok last OLD one for now....

blood sand

i choked on blood as you bent down
to meet candle makers who melted us,
left us for dead.
you crawled up to meet
the dawn as i lay on the
blood we spilled from the
chalice where time went awry.

we floated thru rivers
and for days we held on..
waiting for rescuers to
save us from life.
in came the heatman
and sand tumbled down-
covering us under wax,
cementing us in.

and there is no escape now,
we're lost here forever,
wavering with time..
fighting thru rhymes.

So, why can't we see
what was taken from seas
when we were born
to know what you never
could feel.
Why can't we face
what was given to us
when we died,
to leave behind what
we now have to feel.

fighting back time-
living in rhymes,
forever unfolding,
never telling.
Pictures we cried thru
as flashes we lied thru.
