Hello everyone,

I am not quite sure whether I am the right person to suggest this meeting. Because I don't know any member of this group except Derek, who was my writing teacher in 1999 and I doubt even he remembers me by face. It seems, however, a good idea to meet and say hello to each other before this year ends.

Although the content of Derek's online writing course is the best I have ever seen, the activities of its members were not so lively. There might be various reasons for it but I think part of it, at least, is due to the lack of sense of membership among us. It is hard for us to expect to have some sense of community when we don't know each other. Furthermore, our culture don't put a great emphasis on lively discussion.

Let's come and talk over a bottle (or bottles) of beer to take a new start. If you are interested in, please contact me by writing this message board or e-mailing yousungh@hanmail.net) or calling me(019-613-6013). Then we can fix the date and place.
