Author: Apollo
Subject: Perhaps he was braver than Medusa. Perhaps he was more cowardly. Whatever the justification, Brushy's rage had not chased the colt from the territory.

Instead, he stood poised at the border, watching the path his fleeing twin had taken, as if expecting her to reapear over the mountain. A tormented sigh escaped him, this colt who battles with demons. To follow Medusa, as Apollo privately felt a brother should, would condemn him in his mother's eyes. Perhaps even in Jesar's eyes. His father was a mystery to him, but Apollo knew for certain that he wanted Brush Fire to love him. Certianly Medusa had not done anything to earn his respect or loyalty. In fact, Apollo could, with very little effort, find justification to blame all that was wrong with his life on this twin sister. But clear-headed Apollo could also see the other side to his dilema. The winged filly could easily become his ally against the world, if he went after her now. But perhaps Medusa didn't want him? Perhaps no one did? Woe for the lonely colt who's only desire is to be loved.

Brute stepped over the terrain over to the colt. His depthless pools took in his stance and he seemed perhaps troubled. Though the brute's orbs showed nothing he was curious. He stepped forward again watching. Ebony rocks imprint mother earth as he steps up out of the shadows to the colt.
