As the breeze rustles through her mane, tousling it, she pricks up her ears. She shudders quietly and casts a quick glance behind her in impulsive caution before snorting warily and galloping as fast as she is capable of, her small legs pumping frantically, to find... someone.

She stood, stunned, staring into space. This hardship, piled atop the other heavy loads would have brought the charcoal petite to tears had she not already passionately sobbed her heart out. Instead, she could only hold her gaze upon that rock a few yards away, so stare she did, as though her life depeneded on it.
