The young stallion isn't so sure that he can accept it, having just left his childhood stage, but well, if she really is pregnant, he can't do anything else. There, stage two completed. "Don't worry, Sophie, it'll be all right." He again nuzzles her, though this time with comforting tones added into the gesture.

Enough of that, he thought suddenly, his own eyes filling up with unexpected - and unwanted - tears. They couldn't just stand around and cry.... He nipped her lightly, but hard enough to get her attention. "The foal's as much my fault as yours, Sophie, why should I be angry? All I want is for you, and the foal, to be happy. Speaking of which, is the foal a colt or a filly?" Well that was a stupid question, wasn't it? "Nevermind. It doesn't really matter, anyways. The foal's ours, and we'll love it no matter what it turns out to be."
