Having sensed Medusa's trailing footsteps, Brushy slid into the relative safety of the marsh, with its bubbling waters. Here, where she had met her dashing Jesar. Here, where she had born those two miserable cretins. Away from the expectant face of herd and hubby, the tenebrous fed her anger until it overran her depression. Her fearsome temper seethed and sputtered beneath the chilled surface of Brushy's exterior, awaiting its eruption.
