Subject: Travis Smith(c)vs Mike Manson-CWF International Title match(CWF Explosion 3-4-02)

{As Mike Manson slides into the ring after being introduced, he is immediately attacked by Travis Smith. Smith clips Manson on the chin with a right hand, followed by a quick kick to the gut. He grabs Manson, and takes him down to the mat with a swinging neck breaker. A quick cover�1�one count only, it's still way too early in the match. The Extreme Superstar isn't phased by that quick kick out, and continues with his offensive game plan. He cinches Manson up, and takes him back down with a Russian leg sweep. He has Manson planted in the middle of the ring, and heads up to the top rope, it could be way too early for this kind of high risk move! It didn't work as Manson gets to his feet and grabs Smith by the throat before he can jump. There's only one way to go from here, and that's down. Manson hurls Smith across the ring, where he hits hard...no! Travis Smith manages to tuck himself into a ball and when he hit the mat, he rolls forward and springs up to the second turnbuckle on the other side of the ring! What agility! Manson charges him, but Smith leaps backwards over Manson's head and lands behind him. Smith rolls Manson up from behind�1�again only a one count. That was a nice sequence by Smith right there. Manson rolls to the outside of the ring, he seems to be a little frustrated, but taking a breather is a smart move. Regroup your thoughts, and then attack. Look out! The Extreme Superstar bounces off the far ropes and nails Manson with a baseball slide to the back, sending him crashing into the railing at ringside. Manson staggers to his feet, just as Smith takes to the air with a suicide dive over the top rope! Manson moves!!! Smith just hit the concrete floor hard! That changes the entire momentum for this match. Manson is quick to take advantage of it, pulls Smith to his feet, grabbing him in a bear hug, then driving him back first into the apron! He does it again�and a third times the charm. Manson rolls Smith into the ring and follows him in. He pulls Smith to his feet, and fires him into the ropes. He catches with him with a huge boot as he comes off, knocking Smith back down to the match. Manson pulls Smith up again, sets him up, then pile drives him into the mat. A cover�1�2�Smith gets the shoulder up. Manson gets to his feet, bounces off the ropes, and comes with a huge leaping elbow drop, drilling Smith right in the heart. Another cover...1...2...kickout again before the three count. Manson immediately pulls Smith' leg back for another cover�1�2�and again Smith kicks out. Manson pulls Smith up and whips him into the ropes, attempting another big boot. Smith ducks the boot and hits the near ropes, coming off again, only to get nailed with a back elbow. Manson pulls Smith up, cinches him tightly, and tosses him to the mat with a brutal T-Bone Suplex. He follows that up with a spinning belly to belly, and then continues his assault with a belly to belly suplex into a hangman's neck breaker! That's an innovative move of his own right there. To hook a man in for a belly to belly suplex, toss him backwards over your head, and then catch him in a neck breaker on his way down, that takes not only strength, but timing as well. This could be it as Manson goes for the cover�1...2...and Smith just manages to escape the three count again. Manson pulls Smith up again, setting him up between his legs. He lifts him into the air for a power bomb. Smith is struggling up there, he's trying to escape. He's pounding away at Manson's head, but Manson is preparing to slam him down�thumb to the eye!! That will stop anyone! Smith drops to the mat on his feet, and bounces off the ropes. He dives under an attempted clothesline, rolling back to his feet and leaping to the second rope. He jumps off with a beautiful moonsault that takes Manson down to the mat! Yet another incredible move! Smith goes up to the top rope and sits perched up there, waiting for his opponent to make it to his feet. Manson pulls himself up using the ropes, and staggers to the center of the ring. Smith jumps with a double axe handle! Manson catches him!!! Manson falls forward, driving Smith to the mat with a HUGE spine buster! That has to be the knockout blow he was looking for, all he has to do is cover him. What's this? Manson can't make the cover, he seems to have hurt his wrist on that move. Both men are on the mat in pain, Manson clutching his wrist, Travis Smith clutching his lower back, who will get to their feet first? The Extreme Superstar gets to his feet first, but Manson is up as well now. They charge each other, and Smith takes to the air, landing on Manson's shoulders, and taking him down with a flying head scissors. Smith is up quickly, he runs to the corner, hops to the second rope, and immediately jumps off just as Manson is bent over, trying to get to his feet. He drives Manson to the mat with a second rope fameasser and makes a quick cover�1...2...this time it's Manson kicking out just before the final three count. This has been one great back and forth match up. Smith pulls Manson up to his feet, then cinches him up for what looks to be a fisherman's suplex. He lifts Manson into the air...but Manson manages to throw his weight back to break free. He spins Smith around and locks in a standing tazmission! Smith is struggling in the center of the ring, he has no hope of reaching the ropes! This is it! This has got to be it! All of the sudden, John Miller comes running out from the locker room, the same shovel he had earlier in his hand. Manson doesn�t see him as he struggles to hang on to the hold. Miller gets up on the apron and swings the shovel, and hits�TRAVIS SMITH!!! Miller just unintentionally hit his Rated R partner with the shovel as Manson managed to duck out of the way of the shot! It seems that Manson did see Miller coming and was playing possum! Manson nails Miller with a shot to the chin, knocking him off the apron, and grabs Smith. FREAKY FINISH!!! It�s all academic from here�1�2�3! NEW INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION!!}

Curly - John Miller just cost his partner Travis Smith the International Title!! That was an incredible match, it's just a shame it had to end like that.

Moe - And look at the two of them in the ring, Miller is helping Smith up, apologizing, and Smith just shoves him down to the mat!! He's getting in Miller's face, screaming at him for costing him the title. Miller is still apologizing as he gets back to his feet. Travis flips him off and goes to leave. Rated R is having a few troubles as of late...HEY! Wait a minute!!

Curly - Miller attacks Travis Smith from behind! What's he doing?! He pounds away at Smith, who has just had a hard fought match with Mike Manson, not to mention he was one of the men attacked in this KOA situation, he doesn't deserve this. ROLLER JAM!! Miller hits his partner, or should I say former partner, after this attack, with his finishing move. Miller has a mic.

Miller - You ungrateful little punk, the only reason you've held that belt as long as you have is because I helped you all those times. Consider Rated R FINISHED as of this moment on!!

Moe - Miller exits the ring as EMTs rush to help the fallen Smith. No one has went through more tonight than he has. He comes back from the earlier attack to have a stellar match up, only to lose his title thanks to his partner and a shovel, and then gets attacked after the bell. Smith deserves a rematch, but I think he may want a piece of Miller first! Regardless, congratulations go out to Mike Manson, who has been absolutely red hot so far in the opening months of 2002, add the CWF International Title to his resume.
