Date Posted: 15:13:39 07/23/03 Wed Having nothing to do, me and Sage ended up buying SWG. It is alot funner than it was in the beta, more Star Wars feel now that there are actual Rebel vs. Imperial Battles and there are Jedi NPC's in the game, however rare. Alot of the "theme area's" are up to, like rebel bases where C3PO is. There are several flaws I see in the game though. The main one, and biggest, being that everyone is already hitting max level. I have met several people who have almost used all of their 250 skill points available. People with the best weapons and armor currently in the game. So, in one month, people have totally maxed out their characters and dont have anything left to level or buy. All that is left is to Gain rank in Imp or Reb, which doesnt even do much, try to gain the Force Sensitve slot, or visit theme area's. They can't really delete peoples characters and start the game over making it harder to level either, since people basically paid for it, even though its a free month. So basically, what people spent years doing on other MMORPG's such as everquest, people did in one month on SWG. The game is fun and im still playing it, im just wondering what will be left when I am maxed out next month. I could always do everything possible in the game to attempt attaing the FS slot to make a jedi, but if i get that and max jedi, what then? Most games I don't have to think about this because it will be years before i get to that point and usually i end up with PK'ing and duels. The battle system in SWG isnt very exciting for duels though, its too slow paced, not like Diablo 2. Like I said, im having fun now, but i feel like in 2-3 months im going to be bored of the game. When the Space expansion comes out, 2004 sometime, if the space combat is good, which it should be because its lucas arts and thats what they have mostly focused on, then i might have something to look forward to.
