RICH'S MOVIE REVIEW

12/25/03 PAYCHECK

Ben Affleck has managed to bounce back from his fiasco of a movie called Gigli (we'll see if he can do it again after Jersey Girl flops too). Paycheck manages to hold the audience's attention with a lesser (but still interesting) Minority Report-like story. The acting, action, and effects are better than you'd hope and seems to make for an interesting two hours. My main problem with Paycheck is the conflict. How can tension be effectively created for the viewer if the good guys always have the upper hand on the bad guys? Watch the movie and you'll see what I mean. I still think Ben Affleck is a tool, but Paycheck is worth seeing.
