She tosses her head up and looks down to the newborn foal and nuzzles it

Brown and white colt looks out into the strange world it now inhabited. he gave a little knicker as his mother nuzzled him. He struggled to stand up, falling down several times. He finally got the hang of it and took his first steps and hungrily nursed.

Jerked her head a bit at first at the feel of the colt nursing, but then relaxed.
