Subject: NEVERMIND

Ya know, this show means alot to me. I have been planning it for three years. One biggest reasons why I bought all that equipment was for this show. I have been planning it for two years now. I usually would think about and plan it out every other day.

However, as luck would have it we break up two months before the show. And the only way I can make it happen is by bribing the members to play with an expensive guitar. I am kinda ashamed at myself that I would even go that low. And, what is even more worse than that, you, actually would have considered it. When I read it I actually squirmed at the thought.

The bottom line is, I thought this was a group of considerate, genuine, and overall nice people who wouldnt mind helping a friend and fellow musician out for a little bit of entertainment.

So to this I say, FORGET IT, DONT BOTHER, I pull out an accoustic and do it myself.

You know what...I'm a little insulted by this. I believe I have been considerate, genuine and overall nice to you, Marty, so don't act like it's all of us. I've been very cool with you on the subject of this whole thing so be cool on the message board.

It's obvious this post is directed towards me, so I'll respond that way.

I'll have you know it took a lot of talking with my friends to even consider taking that guitar. At first, I replied on this very message board that I was done, and no amount of sweet talking and bribing would get me to play. I talked to close friends who advised me to go for it. I deleted the "no way" reply and posted the "i'm considering" message. I felt kind of ashamed when I admitted I was considering it. I knew some would call me a selfish asshole, and I had already accepted that fate. But guess what, I decided Monday not to take it. It wasn't because I don't want the guitar, but nonetheless, I decided not to do the show and not take the guitar. I also decided to not play with baby i in any capacity ::ever:: again.

I'm sorry I offended you, Marty.
I'm sorry I ruined your plans.
I'm sorry I'm not the considerate, genuine and overall nice guy you thought I was.
I'm sorry I chose to not participate in something that I no longer have any interest in.

Of course, sorry means nothing when you won't accept it.
