This is the story about the Austin Taylor CabinCreek Records /www.cabincreekrecords.com/Inside Kountry/Inside Country Indie Charts and Radio releases www.insidecountry.net SCAMS.
Scam # 1.
They allegedly claim to release to 300-800 + stations, but Allegedly they only release to about 50 charting stations.
Scam #2.
They will make and "sell" your c.d. for you, where they will keep $2.00 for each c.d. that they sell.
Allegedly everytime they mail off 10 c.d.'s they
tell you that your c.d.'s are not selling very well and that they only sold 3.
This scam was allegedly put on Jim Wilkerson and many others.
Scam # 3.
They collect money to make your c.d., but never make the c.d.
Below is a copy of an E-Mail where after 2 1/2 years Austin Taylor still blames Dr. Schmidt for his c.d.'s not being made( after he cashed his check).
((Please note:
Dr. Schmidt said he will mail a copy of the mechanical licenses for the c.d.'s that Austin was paid to make but never did make including Bill Gaither and Lanny Wolfe (Signed by Jeremy Stockwell of Gaither Copyright Management Reference # CTRWTS482 ), and a copy of the proof of the fact that he sent them via registered certified mail to Linda Brown of Cabin Creek Records article # 7001 1940 0002 8577 4546(for a second time)to anyone who mails a self addressed return envelope to:

Below is an untouched E-mail that Austin Taylor sent out and sent to nashvillegospel where he blames Dr. Schmidt for his c.d.'s not being duplicated after 2 1/2 years , he also claimed a year ago in Nashville Gospel that Cabin Creek Records filed chapter 13 bankruptcy and would re-pay Dr. Schmidt 100 %, but the South Ohio bankruptcy court never contacted Dr. Schmidt, and Austin's alleged bankruptcy atty. will not take Doc's phone calls or send him any info.
No money has been sent to date.
it is now over 3 years after taylor cashed Dr. Schmitt's check

I think you left out a couple things.
You didn't tell the good folks that when you sent your cd and picture

you did not include the publishers.
And that the manufacture refused to duplicate the product, because

no information attached that
showed you paid the publishing.
You did not say that after thirty days austin contacted you and told
you
what to do and how to contact bmi & ascap to get the publishers and
writers
information, and then for you to contact the publishers and find out
what
you owed and then pay them and send him the copies so he could
manufacture
your product.
You refused to do WHAT HE ASKED AND TOLD HIM IT WAS HIS JOB to do it,
Austin
didn't produce your project and you did. Therefore it was your
responseability.
You also didn't mention that 9 months went by and your wife contacted
austin
and asked what to do to get it done, austin told her who to contact as
he
had told you to.
11 months after you sent the required publishing information to austin.
You
didn't mention that did you.
The day austin got the information you and thomas as you call him or
T.J.
started blasting all austins artist and good peoples bulletin boards
that he
was a thief.
All sells in a business world is final after thirty or sixty days,
seems
like austin waited eleven months for
waht he asked from you.
Personally it looks like you were the thief trying to manufactur cd's
with
bill Gaiter songs and Lanny Wolfe songs without paying royalities, if i
had
of been austin i would have said the heck with you after sixtiey days.
Could you have an underlying motive for now saying T,J.
used to work for you and austin is a thief.
Lets examine your motive you want to look good and overlook your
stupidity
on the roaylites issue, and dis
assocaite youself with T.J. AFTER YOU AND T.J. BLASTED BULLETIN BOARDS
FOR
MONTHS. Using the great Dr. Schmitt name, tell me am i wrong you now
have a
radio release on vision qwest cd and are using the name Mickey Schmitt
could
it be in yours and T.T. effort to discredit austin you discredited your
name, and now using another name.
Why didn't you pay your royalites? Could it be you didn't intend to all
along.
If i was austin i would say the heck with you and not even include you
in
his bankrupcy.
I think sir you best evalute yourself before blaming others, you turned
T.J
Jerk lose on the web sites of good peole in an effort to discredit
austin

Austin tried unsucsessfully to put Dr. schmitt's project in a chapter 13 bankruptcy that he filed in June 2003, but the chapter 13 was dismissed in August 2003, as of November 2003, over 3 years after cashing Schmitt's check Austin taylor STILL refuses to make his c.d. or to send him his masters and artwork back to him.
Scam #4.
Austin allegedly takes money to do studio work but does not do the work.
Court records show that Gladys Jones (gladysjones@simflex.com)took Austin Taylor to court and won a $3,000.00 judgement against him.
Glady's later tells people that Austin refused to pay her even one dime of the judgement.
On 12/29/01 Gladys said this about Austin Taylor
"God help him, he's so bad, there is so many he has stolen from "
Gloria Wilson said this about Austin
"Wonder who else ( that Austin stole from,{added for emphesis}) that we don't know? That is sad for "Christians" to do"
Scam #5.
Austin allegedly continues to sell artist c.d.'s and music after he asks them to stop. Some allege that Austin sold their music to W.C. Taylor to pirate their songs/ music.
Scam # 6
Austin allegedly sells artists c.d.'s at other websites without them knowing about it.
Artist Shirley Hayes of the Texas Girls ( www.texasgirls.com) is so mad that she calls Austin Taylor "Bad to the bone"
Scam #7
Austin Taylor allegedly offers to "promote" rookie artists, he way overcharges them because they do not know better
Scam # 8
Austin has an Inside Country Indie Chart that he puts country artists on, he once put 5 artists from Badger Records, a small tiny record company on it on the same chart all in a row.
This chart is bogus, fake, and austin puts his friends high up on the chart as favors to those who send him money, or uses a well known artists name or song to make him appear to be legit all the while he is stealing from others
As you can see, Austin Taylor is not on the up and up
But many "regulars"continue to support him
Austin Taylor is a thief
