Subject: Alright, a few pointers for rping a battle scene with youma...

Ok, first off- don't just say you send a youma in there, be more specific with what the youma looks like and its abilities- maybe even give it a name, if your feeling creative enough. What you posted was the th youma jumped into the building, grabbed people, and started raining their energy. That really doesn't do much- no one was seriously harmed, and the only negative emotions caused were...well, Omega's anger at her wall being blown up o.O thats about it. So all that occured, according to your post, was that the youma drained energy from them then got blown up. Doesn't do much for Devastation, 'cept now she's down one youma.

Now, here's the important part- how to make this scene better!Yay!

What you probrably should do is recap some SM videos, if you happen to own any or have any recorded. The bad guy normally doesn't show up somewhere and jsut attack people, now do they? No, because people run, and it doesn't get a whole lot done. Normally they create a situation that would attract a whole lot of people, and have a specific tiem they would all gather in one big spot, or give objects that will drain their energy, using the power of the youma. Then the senshi show up, and the jig is up, battle battle, so so on and so forth...

Now you're in the shoes of the bad guy, so its your responsibility to create a creative plot to gather people and create a negative, saddening atmosphere- basically do what ever you can to terrorize. You may sell items that secretly warp their perception (i.e. make them ludacrisly easily offended, make them hear voices in their minds telling them to do things, make them feel exceedingly vain...), use impersonation tricks to get loved ones in trouble, create jelousy and greed, kill(what creates more sorrow then that?), and other such things, the list goes on...I've got several more specific good plots in my own head, but I can't tell them to you because- well, I was planning on having some of *my* baddies act them out, and it wouldn't be much fun having repeats of the same scenarios, now would it? When taking on the role of one of the baddies, your automatically expected to show more advanced rp because your then creating part of the plot. Your expected to be good at clearly describing whats going on, thinking up an original attack plot, and keeping things moving while checking with other players OOC to make sure the plot won't screw anything they had planned, if you think it might (the last one there being out of common courtesy).

Whew, was that ever a mouthful. Ok, does that help? Hopefully future attacks will be a little more thought out. AND, by the by, if anyone sees anything worng here, please popele, correct me, I am not God. Just the Game Mistress ^~.
