I just posted in several places a few minutes ago that explained it. Sunrise goes through a portal from the living quarters where I last posted as her and ends up in the sky over the apartments. She arrives there just as Omega is leaving for school. Identifying Omega as the "monster-girl" from the night before, Sunrise flies after her. (she ends up at Rosethorn, transforms to her civilian form and steals a Rosethorn uniform, but I'll have her explain that to Onyx if he asks.) Then she sees Onyx and recognizes him as Obsidian, and approaches him.

And btw, I wasn't the first one to recognize someone when they weren't transformed. At the arcade, Obsidian recognized Sunrise and Neon in their civilian forms too.

And I'll e-mail you as soon as I think of a evil plan, but I have "evil plan block" at the moment.
