Well, since I'm wondering a bit on this too (hey, I *do* have a devi minion, after all ^~v!)....would say...making someone think that their friends didn't like them anymore or that they were talking smack behind their backs...or making them think their parents were dead (think The Craft, lol)....would *that* suffice?
