Lol. I was in the magical marching band too. My first year, i was a flute player...my second year, I got a professional flute and decided that i'd rather be in the colorguard than bang up my nice flute. big mistake. I think this paragraph can sum up my experience with marching band...

"Since I was a flute player, everyone would always be like 'and this one time, at band camp!' when i was on the bus. it was always hot, so they said that we didn't have to wear our jackets...but we still had to wear the hats, so we were officially dubbed the great fireman band...I dropped my flute during the homecoming game and knocked down two other flutes, one saxophone, two clarinets, and four trombones...i was proud. We later threw ice cubes at the flairs (drill team) from under the bleachers. When I was in colorguard, we had to waer these hideous purple dresses and dance fruity dances. We had ten foot tall flags and mine threatened to crush me and/or carry me away in the wind every time i picked it up. It was ALWAYS windy at the games, and the entire colorguard managed to flash the audience every game. My and this one other girl were the only nonfat colorguard members...so we always wore cute undies to entertain the crowd. One time, we both wore black, lazy panties...i swear, there was a gasp of awe. it was awesome. then at BOA (bands of america), the person who was filming our school evidently thought i had a really fine butt (which i do...but that's beside the point) and EVERY time he filmed the CG section, he got my butt. After viewing the tape, several of the brass players and percussionists came up with the dated joke 'DANG! I wish i had that swing in MY backyard!' they were just jealous because they knew they could never ifnd a girl with my fine rear...and i wouldn't go out with them in a MILLION years. I dropped the flag on my head several times and had a perpetual bruise the entire year. The End."

mmmmmmmmmmmmyep. that's really what marching band is all about. lol now i must go cough up some phlegm that's been harassing me for about an hour...XP
