Subject: Homecoming..... WTF?!

What a pathetic weekend! I actually bumped into 2 active brothers at a sorority paty. One of them had the time to talk with me, the other was too busy working on his latest conquest. I won't hold it against you brother, I remember what it was like. No, wait, think of where you were
So what's the deal with our cannon? I understand I missed some drama before the game?! Is it still being stored at the field our was it truely thrown away? I'd like to know if it's still there so I can pick it up and get it to my house for safekeeping. Where is the "endcap" and other related hardware? I'd also be interested in old composites, paddles, and such. Did we not have a framed charter somewhere?
I have to say those of us old enough to remember the true meaning of brotherhood are having a hard time accepting our current state of affairs. Is there anything that can be done or is it too late?! Does the younger membership just not care, or are you to busy concentrating on your studies? Can't fault you there, from what I hear The Man has made it almost impossible for locals to exist, at least as we once did.
Are we going to blame this all on generation Y and their lack of desire to actually EARN somthing? To this day I remember a statement made on the first day of pledging that things not earned are not worth having! Let's face it, times change and people change. We obviously didn't! Maybe we need to take it to the next level? Lancaster505 anyone??

The brother who couldn't make the time to talk to you needs an ass kicking by a bunch of alumni. He apparently has no idea the meaning of the letters he "earned" (in quotes because I question whether the active brothers who pledged this guy taught him properly). OGO was and is only as strong as it's active membership. Numbers have been depleted before for various reasons (brothers kicked out for partying too much or just being too lazy to rush new dudes), but they always busted their butts the following semester. The fraternity might be flatlining at the moment but that doesn't mean with a little creativity and ingenuity, it can't be saved. Where there's a will, there's a way. Times change so the pledge program can, too.

i'm sure the cannon was destroyed just as the local law enforcement destroyed my pistol.

george bush doesn't care about local fraternities.

Yeah, WTF ?? I went to homecoming too. Saw the banner, saw no alumni, and no newer bros wearing letters. I had no clue who anyone was. I was sort of looking forward to catching up with some of the old guys, and maybe meeting a couple of new bros. Thanks for a shitty homecoming which as Krustee said, was not even close to the spirit of brotherhood.

I would have liked to catch up with you Krustee, but didn't know you were coming. That is why at homecoming, the banner is out, guys wear letters so that we can recognize each other, and the cannon is out. This has been the meeting place for many many years, all the years that I was at MU.

Then the note on this board said 1603 Brookwood. Ok, I went there, where was everybody ??? Good thing I came with my family and had some fun with them. The old days are obviously over. Bros past and present ALWAYS got together and shot the shit over some beers, apparently the frat is now a bunch of lame ass idiots. Thanks for keeping the spirit of brotherhood alive that existed from the 60's up until who knows when. It was alive while I was at MU, and for several years after, up until 2002 or so.

You guys all suck balls, except those of us who are pissed off.
