Pledged spring 2001 with biskit....I know all the alumni speaking out, krustee, moe, donut, pluto. I understand all of your comments and I know this explanation for the current state of affairs probably will not suffice, but here we go. There is 3 OGO active brothers left. Millersville has made it impossible to be on campus as a local. They have mandated so many stupid things partaking in them would go against everything I was taught during my pledging. We were forced to make a decision some time ago, sell out at all costs to stay on campus or follow the values of OGO. Do we lower everything this fraternity stood for 35+ years or do as the university says. What did they want us to do? Here's a short list of the highlights, 50hours of charity work (university supervised), stripped us of our fundraiser for no reason, they accused us of computer fraud and barred us from advertising on campus for not admitting it (someone hacked the Millersville univ website through our website domain). Millersville is currently 1.6% greek......62 guys TOTAL in fraternities. Phi Kap died, TKE and OGO on life support. Look at the fraternities with a few members, all fags. Its ahrd for you all to understand the anti-fraternity mindset in today's world. Nobody will work for anything. How can we make people understand to pledge, the parties? the girls? brotherhood? None of that happens in the greek community anymore brotherhood is synounmous with homosexuality because of today's horrendous pop culture. There no frat parties on campus, sororites have mixers with the sports teams now....what is there to attract people. A lot has changed since the 80's-mid 90's fellas. Its really easy for you guys to call us lazy, I wrote the last two alumni letters fall 01 and fall 02 so it has been 3 years, Pete fromt he mushroom capital. now I am sure a lot could have been done better but hindsight is 20/20. i am sad to things go down the tubes, am no less a brother than the rest of you all I stole the god damn keishka. I care, so i am not sure what can be done. I came back to homecoming and it was absolutly horrible, not sure if i will ever return. In no way am I condoning the way our fraternity has fallen from greatness, and II would like to say that we did everythign we could. But it was hard and we basically chose to protect the integrity of the fraternity rather than sink to unrecognizable depths of gayness like the other 3 or 4 frats left.

I'm out

Just would've been nice to get an alumni letter sometime over the past 10 years. We have members with money that could help. We have local members that could help. We have people that could've planned a homecoming event. I understand with 3 guys, it can be impossible.

Who comes back to homecoming? Not the GDI's. Its the Greeks and former jocks. Thats it. Its people like us that come and rent hotel rooms, spend money in Jack's, buy hookers and weed, and support the local economy. We could've talked to the school. There is a brother that is an insurance agent in Millersville. He could've given some advice.

We're not pointing fingers at the current 3 guys. You guys had the cards stacked against you and we appreciate that we have 3 people. Its just a general decline in everything over the past 10 years.

Anyway. If there is still a shot to save anything, there are those of us that still want to help.

Wesleyan University (Middletown, Conn.)

"The antifraternity campaign is standard on the politically correct campus these days, usually with an announced aim of reining in a boozy, sexist, right-wing culture."
