This is a whole separate issue but I did have a jumper setting for limit to 32 GB for use in my old motherboard which was fixed by a boot sector resident driver from seagate (not quantum i was wrong). I've now copied all data across to the other pc and I now have 40 GB of unpartitioned free space and windows 2000 setup all ready to go..
MY QUESTION IS:
is it better to have a single partition or to separate it into multiple volumes?

and why? !

I have to decide like Now..
