I ran out of the house at full speed, and rushed into the barn! I just couldn't wait to ride Princessa. But then I remembered, no running was aloud in the barn. I calmly walked down the aisle to Princessa's stall. I greeted her with a big fat sugar cube, and then grabbed Saddle 3, and her bridle. I plopped them onto the saddle rack by the stall, and opened Princessa's stall. The pony mare nickered with a greeting to me, and I smiled so big, that it almost went all the way around my head! Then, I grabbed the saddle and bridle and carefully put them on my pony. I was goining to be the first to ride her! My stoumach jumped up and down, doing cartwheels as I led Princessa out to the arena. Quietly, I measured my stirrups and tightened my girth. In no time, I was up and on Princessa. After a few times around the arena, Princessa started to get a little jumpy and active, so I let her go into a rather bursting trot. Princessa was acting like she was in the Kentucky Derby! but I held her back so she wouldn't take off with me. I'm not that experienced you know! In beat, I posted up and down, feeling the beat of the little pony underneath me. I felt so happy being the first to ride her. I halted Princessa, and then told her to walk on. She obediently walked around the arena, until I reversed. She knew I was getting ready to trot again. Up into the trot she went, with me not posting, but just sitting on her back. It was a very bumpy ride, but I managed to stay on. I went back into a posting trot, and then halted her again. "Walk On!" I commanded softly. Princessa did the same, and soon knew that she was just in a regular arena, not the Kentucky Derby race track! Slowly, she walked around on the rail a few more times. Then , she sprang into the canter when I wasn't ready! OMG! I then, quickly shortened my reigns really fast, and jammed my heels down. Finally, I was back into comfort on Princessa, cantering around the Safari Stable arena. Then I brung her down to a walk again, and reversed my direction. Princessa kept the same content around her weak way too! After a few gos around the rail, I halted her. "Great job!" I whispered. Then again, I walked her around a few more times. I felt her temperature, and saw that she was cooled down. I dismounted, and brought her back to her stall. I groomed her, and brushed her down until all the sweatmarks were gone. I took the last sugar cube out of my pocket, and held it carefully in my hand. Princessa scooped it down her mouth, or as some friends say: scarfed it down. I really didn't want to leave my little pony. But I had to go back to the house to eat breakfat. After all, I had just snuck out to ride her, noone would know. Bye Princessa I loudly whispered from the door. I walked out the stable door, making sure to lock it. So nobody would know. I bursted back into the house, but quietly and sat in the living room quietly.
Let's just call that "The Midnight Ride" I whispered.
