and in her case, she's supposed to look unhealthy. Summer Glau, being a ballerina, is likely thin by nature, just like Amy Acker (another dancer) is. Overall, though, the women of "Firefly" are a beautiful, healthy-looking bunch.

I also agree with you about Mal and Kaylee. She seems to be the ship's little sister--not just to Mal, but to Jayne and Inara, too, at the very least. I agree with NF that Kaylee represents the innocence and wide-eyed wonder he lost, and yeah, I'd just like to see someone threaten Kaylee in front of him. Scary!Mal is *so* much fun to watch.
