And she certainly is a (moderate) proponent of the show, so I wouldn't expect her to be as biased as the first writer.

On the other hand, TiVo might just be the doom of Firefly. If indeed people are opting to watch the show taped by TiVo, then those people are probably fast-forwarding or skipping the commercials (I don't know exactly how it works), which means that the advertisers are unhappy with Fox since people aren't watching their ads, which means that Fox isn't earning money on Firefly, which means that for simple economic motives, the show might not be what's best for the network.

TiVo, you'll come to realize, is a mixed blessing for television viewers, because of this. I think a few television stations have launched into testing "pop-up advertising" in order to counter TiVo -- which means that you'll have to watch an ad during your television programs. Oi.
