I got there about 10:00, because people said get there early and then we can
get in the front. So I did. We waited about 2 hours and then the finally let us
in... so I thought... They just let us to the next section and told us we would
be staying here for two hours and then TOTALLY got rid of the line. We were
at the beginning and somehow wound up at the end. I was annoyed.

We finally got it at about 2. We were about 3 rows back from the stage, so
we were fairly close. We wound up standing there til about 3:00, when
Christina finally came on. She is gorgeous in person, though I wasn't digging
the outfit. It was similiar to the Dirrty video outfit, but it had Dirrty written on
her back and x-tina down her leg. They did one taping and Christina's voice
didn't sound strong at all. We could barely hear her. She went back for
awhile and came back and thanked us for being patient and said that she
isnt feeling well. Then she lip synced it twice. It sounded like she was gonna
perform it again, but the crowd literally turned around and walked away.

I am pretty annoyed by MTV. The whole thing was horribly organized. The
line issue obviously annoyed me, but the amount we were waiting around
was just ridiculous. And the fact that they were yelling at us like we were
young children was a bit annoying too. One of the guys also told me she
that she was going to sing several songs off her album. My legs hurt, I'm
tired, and I am sunburned, but it was nice to see Christina so close, and she
danced really well. Wasn't as much as I hoped for, but still worth the
experience.

I just forced myself to sit through the latest Christina Aguilera video, and,
quite frankly, I feel really 'dirrty.�

The video marks Aguilera�s departure from pop princess to pop tart. She�s
treading in Mariah Carey territory right now... and, judging from how well
Carey�s career has turned out, Mariah Carey territory is dangerous territory
indeed.

What can I say about �Dirrty�? How about this: Aguilera in �Dirrty� makes
Britney Spears in �I�m a Slave 4 U� look like the most modest and chaste of
virgin schoolgirls. At least Spears wore her thong over her pants. When
Aguilera parades her skanky underwear, she leaves nothing to the
imagination. There�s a difference between being erotic and being plain
tasteless, and Aguilera has not only crossed the line but has set up her
entire household in the tasteless territory.

What is so disturbing about this unfortunate career turn is that Aguilera
really has no need to dress and act like a big ho. Other stars have to skank
it up because they lack the talent, but Aguilera has it all. She can dance,
she�s oozing with charisma, and she�s one of the few pop stars out there
right now who can actually sing.

So what�s the motivation behind this descent into Skanksville?

Two words: sex sells, and that�s probably what record execs are whispering
in Aguilera�s ear. And yes, she�s going to make a lot of money right now, but
after that she�s going to be remembered as just another major talent who
sold out to appeal to the crotch of the lowliest straight guy.

What the record company should be doing is giving her the opportunity to
cultivate her Celine-Dion-calibre pipes instead of bowing to the almighty
buck.

These kind of career decisions do not lead to longevity, and Aguilera�s talent
deserves longevity. Hopefully this video will mark the low point of Aguilera�s
future E! True Hollywood story - the part before she's sees the light again.

And now, I must take this final opportunity to publicly appeal to Aguilera�s
good sense: Keep the thong under your skirt where it belongs and treat your
talent with the respect it deserves.
