The charcoal stallion quietly infiltrates the growing mob. He glances left and right, searching for Requiem Aeternum. Finally, confident the mare was absent as of yet, Biff tosses his forelock to view the Rebel King. As he listens to Adrian, he feels a strange perversion overtaking him. The darkness of the land, of its residents, of Biff's heart, finally fracture the walls of his well-trained mind. The teachings of his light parents disperse from his memory. Biff feels a delicious power coursing under his shivering ebony coat. He grins, feeling more alive than he ever had.
