The bay laughed easily at the younger stallion's impatience. He shifted his weight, a single black tinged ear cranking in the ebon' one's direction. A coal hued hindhoof cocked itself. The thoroughbred's stance was lazy and almost too sure of himself. It was almost.. arrogant, and Adrian rarely showed any true arrogance.

"I'm just testing you, Dagger. You have a high position, and I think that amount of responsibility is.. reasonable. Do you doubt your decision now? 'Cause if you do, it was the wrong one!"

The auburn answered smoothly, punctuating it with an airy snort topped with faint laughter. His black tail twitched.

"It'll get better with practice."
