Nods understandingly, somewhat distracted-not giving voice to the fact that neither does she-biting her tongue (wisely) at the last moment, thinking it better not to send the mare into a panic attack. As he backed away, she took a deep breath, plastering on a calm smile and adopting a soothing attitude once more, turning back to the "patient". She is helpless, clueless, but faking that everything is under control, for Ginger's sake, continuing to comfort her.
