Smile turns sheepish, and hostile outer appearance melts away upon recognition, realisation of her mistake. Seeing no graceful retreat apparenty available to her, she bites her lip with a quiet sigh of dismay at her idioticness. "I apologize-guess I take this welcoming buisness a little too seriously..." she admits with a good-natured grin. Youthful orbs gleam, dropping her head momentarily in respect to her elder, avoiding eye contact. "Sorry if I've inconvenienced you, ma'am," she voices hesitantly, lifting her head back to it's original upright position. "I hope I haven't scared you away for good," she says worriedly, with a flash of the icy blue orbs. "You're really quite welcome here, despite initial appearances of the likes of myself..." she jokes, a musical laugh rising from her throat, gently resting on the breeze before being carried away. Ears flicker at the sound of birds singing merrily as they caper overhead, then return to attention. Original embarassment quickly forgotten, she smiles once again. "I don't believe we've met before-I'm fairly new here, compared to some."
