The band is going to consist of guitar players. Every player is a multi instrumentalists

Wyatt Stone, (mandolin, violin, guitars and keyboards) who joined us for the Echo and Cafe Nord shows will be with us again. Wyatt is a teen-aged virtuoso, just out of high school, in fact, had to hurry back to school after the dates last winter. He is a fine singer of conservative tone, and he sounds good in the band of wayward angels whom I have dubbed Heavens Chain Gang. I love having him on stage with me. He is direct and musical.

I am bring David Kalish, another incredible multi instrumentalist of the blues persuassion, (the Evening of My Best Day, co wrote and played on Woody and Dutch on the slow train to Peking) my oldest (he is very old) Los Angeles friend, co-writer and producer, and he will be playing guitars of all sorts and shapes. A dobro battle is brewing, for David is not so keen on Wyatt dobroing him out. Look for lots of amazing picking in these shows.

Peter Atansasoff, co-writer and creator on the Sermon on Exposition Blvd, will be with us making his wonderful effects and rock sensibility to the mix.

Bassist Joey Maramba, the boy genius and Ninja assassin, has agreed to again quietly guide our musical prayers. His own band ninja academy is pretty amazing to watch, if you ever hear they are playing around.

So far these are the players, the list may expand but will not diminish, except that Wyatt will only be on the So Cal shows, as he starts school next week.

I may have a keyboard player join us for that show.... The Rickie web site has started a blog about the most 'influencial' singers in pop music. If you like to make lists, come and make a list for our blog. I am intersted in noting what history is whispering in peoples ears. Who has been translated from the original time, and who still lays uninterpreted? Will I be there? mastress of metaphor whatafor?

Lets have fun now. It has been a long, long hard road.

Much love to all, hope to see you , or at least hear you, at one of these last shows. Next year is my 30th year in Music.

Buy a ticket and take a seat, for time! is moving quickly now.

love

Rickie Lee Jones
