Subject: Commonwealth History page update

On the FCS Canada Commonwealth History page, I have completed all of the updates. In the Commonwealth section, I have added maps of the Commonwealth in 1958 and Today. I have also posted the map of the proposed Federation in gold. I think it looks good (far better than green in my opinion). I would like people's feedback before I make this page into a separate site.

Here is the link:

http://www.fcscanada.com/commhist.html

Also, on the FCS Canada Welcome page, I have put ENTER HERE FOR ENGLISH and ENTRER ICI POUR FRANCAIS. The French entry link goes straight to the SCF Canada French page. I think this is much easier in either language.

I was about to change the red maps on fcsworld to green, but have realised that they way my website is set up I would have to change each page as each page has a map on it. I also would have to take each page apart slightly so that they all went back the right size (as there seems to be some fault in that crappy Microsoft programme I use that means I have to remove all the horizontal lines when I resize images). I've therefore decided not to bother, unless there is a strong groundswell of opinion that the maps need to be changed.

Otherwise it looks brilliant. I'd just like to be able to see "British Empire in 1713" and "World in 1713" at the same time.

I am sorry about the horizonatal scrolling for the historical maps on the Commonwealth History page, but the only way to fit the maps entirely on the screen is to shrink them and then the print becomes hard to read. However, I will see what I can do.

I think the new page is very successful, Jim. I will update my links to your websit from FCS World - sorry I haven't done it before now.

I can't seem to solve the problem of the horizontal scrolling to view the British Empire maps and the World Colonial maps at the same time. The only way to do it is to shrink them down a bit, but then, they become too small and hard to read. I did try, but I am sorry, I am going to have to leave it as it is.

If anyone has an idea on how to fix this, I will be glad to try it.
