] Date Posted: 01:19:01 11/15/04 Mon I have a quick query about the FCS UK and FCS Australia pages. Since the FCS Canada site is so evidently much more thorough and, to put it bluntly, better than the other two, would it not make sense to extend or even copy much of the FCS Canada page into the pages of the other two until such a time as British and Australian members get together their respective region-specific pages? Frankly, I don't think that a Brit or an Aussie coming across www.fcsworld.com and clinking on the links to FCS Australia or FCS UK is going to be very impressed: whereas a Canadian who clicks on FCS Canada has a thorough, well-thought-out and well-argued manifesto to browse. Any thoughts? [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |

Date Posted: 13:17:52 11/15/04 Mon FCS Canada is obviously a separate website run by Jim, whereas FCS UK and FCS Australia are pages of FCS World which I run (though I know I haven't been doing much lately). Ideally I think we need separate UK and Australia sites which FCS World can link into in the future - though some people think we should just have one big international site. The problem at the moment is getting anyone to actually deliver a new website - global or local. Jim and I can't really do more than we are doing alone! [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 14:34:19 11/15/04 Mon ...But my point was that many of the arguments in FCS Canada are transerable to the other FCS regions. In fact, apart from the bits which say, "This is good for Canada because xyz", a lot of that stuff would not be invalid for FCS Oz and FCS UK if copied and pasted. I agree that there should eventually be separate and distinctive pages, but faute de mieux... [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |

Date Posted: 13:56:52 11/15/04 Mon I don't see much need for the separate FCS Australia site until it can actually be filled out. If I wasn't in the middle of my masters, I'd already have written material for it, but I am. [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
