I'm in the same boat -- I've been playing a set of Pinhawk SL single length irons with matching length wedges for over a year and I don't think that I will also never go back to a set of traditional clubs!

Our carry distances are similar (you can see them on my website Pinhawk review on single-length-irons-guy.com), but I'd love to get my hands on a set of 1irons to see the differences in carry, consistency, gapping, etc.

I tried the Pinhawks a few years ago because they were cheap and I found them to be nothing more than a very poor imitation of the 1 Irons. The distance gaps with the Pinhawks were all over the place as was shot dispersion - no consistency from club to club. My 1 Irons were much more expensive but there is a big reason why. Consistency from club to club is fantastic with an exact yardage gap between the irons within the set. Personally, I have a 10 yard gap between successive irons in my set (#3 through LW) and the shot dispersion is tighter than any irons I have ever played. Very solid feel through impact and high trajectory, even with the #3 and #4 irons.
