Subject: Best Kept Secret in Golf

Did anyone else notice the #3 iron that Tiger used on the 229 yard par 3 on Saturday? Looked kinda short for a #3 iron and kinda familiar didn't it? Now I know why they say that "1 Irons are the best kept secret in golf".

I caught the same thing when I watched on Saturday. Then I made it a point to study the shots of all the other players. Hhhhmmmmm....interesting!! Seems to be catching on.

I go to a lot of the mini-tour events and have played in a number of the pro-ams. Many of the pros on these tours have their endorsed "big name" clubs modified to 1 Iron Golf specs and I know of one, Jacob Bowden - long drive champion, who plays 1 Iron Golf's irons and 5-wood.

I double checked with Jaacob Bowden and he sent me a response saying he does use the 1irons and is playing very well with them. Pedro

I've been saying for years that the pros all cut their irons down to a 6 or 7 iron length. Just look at their bags during the tournaments and it's obvious.
