OK so I followed the day 1 instructions of half swings only. I chose #6 iron (my favorite to warm-up with). The first 3 swings I hit the ball in exactly the same place - out on the toe. Well it made sense - I had to adjust having been standing farther from the ball. After that, everything felt very solid. It was extremely tempting to take a full swing after I got through all the irons. I resisted and am eager to get to full swing today. I didn't hit every half-swing perfectly, but 85% were pure and were best when I let the club release as David says and as Matt replied - thanks for the encouragement Matt.

Day 2 at the range was overall very enjoyable. I warmed up with half shots and then went to the full. Let me say what we all know - No clubs can fix existing swing flaws, and I still have some. So I can still come over the top or pull hook these irons, or leave them out to the right. BUT, when I used a good tempo and good shoulder turn, they felt very solid. In fact I like the grips (even though I am not a big person) and I like the consistent swing weight and I enjoyed playing the same ball position especially with the #4 and #3 irons. I'm not sure about distance yet, but when I take them to the course soon, I will be eager to see what happens. I did notice that a well struck ball with these irons seemed to "track" my target so well. I am starting to feel what others have written about being accurate. That must be credited to the science that David Lake has invested in the design, I imagine.

Trust in your swing.
you will feel everything coming around your body soon.,
once you stop leaning and swing around you will find great joy in the game...as i did...my scores have not dropped that much, but my confidence & joy of the game is here!!!
stick with these clubs. you will become a believer [and greatest salesman] like me. ingat...m

I definitely needed to hear your last message, Matt! Yesterday (day 3) at the range was frustrating. I had to back off and hit half-shots again. I'm guessing mostly overswinging or trying to hard to achieve distance. I'll stick to it because the clubs feel good overall (swing weight, etc.) Sometimes I wish they were just an inch longer with adjusted lie - my W-T-F of 33.5 is pretty short and I'm used to much longer mid irons.

OK so I played nine holes the other morning with my 1irons. It was not fun at all. Not that I hit them poorly, but distances were shorter when I felt like I hit a solid shot and the short club length of the mid and long irons still has me "psyched out" i think. Back to the range I guess to see if I can feel comfortable with all clubs ...

Stick with it, its a learning curve.
i just got back from playing 18, was hitting such perfect iron shots. really felt i was swinging around my body, very solid contact. my score did not reflect it though.
putting was so so, drives were not so good and i wound up
behind 5 trees [ i guess thats why they call them woods]
but im still very happy with the 1 iron system. i can feel such well struck shots and know it will only get better.it will happen to you also, dont give up on this system...m
