what is there to be affraid of?
things we can't control?
the outcome of the future?
the destination of our soul?

life is a disgusting train
with tracks of mystery.
the conductors name is fear,
his assistant-- misery.

he controls our destination
because we mostly prefer to ride
and let him operate this mess,
as we distact ourselves with pride.

fear of being accepted-
fear of being alone-
fear of feeling rejected-
affraid to just go home

back to where we started
before our spirit was contaminated
by the reality we create-
based on what history's demonstrated.

fear is just another illusion
that we collectively make true.
fear is just another restraint-
designed for me and you.

we're flooded with propaganda
and nearly drowned in slander.
the powers that control us,
also indirectly command us.

there is delicious news, however
that most choose to ignore,
the fear is all inside your head-
you don't have to be affraid anymore.
