Subject: Blues Rock?????

Did anyone else see the Hull Daily mail on Saturday. Hiding away on page 9 of R & R is a rather interesting piece about BFE. Interesting because although the guy who wrote it has done a bit of home-work it's is pretty damn obvious he didn't listen to the cd he was sent which is a shame.
"Laid back blues rock?????"
2 years ago maybe.
Not that I'm ungrateful to the mail, it's always cool to be featured in the paper. It would be nice though if just once someone did it properly.
Anyway, enough of my rants, here's wot came our of the horses mouth....

BLIND FROG ERNIE ON A COACH TO THE CAVERN

Rock fans fancying a road trip back to the birthplace of the swinging 60's had better hop to it.
Hull rock 'n' rollers Blind Frog Ernie are organising another of their successful coach trips to their forthcoming show at Liverpool's famed Cavern Club on Saturday 3rd July.
The 53 seater will leave Hull at 6pm before heading for the Mersey. Tickets cost £10 and the coach will return home, probably the worse for wear, to the Humber at 12.30am.
Guitarist Dave Fox said the foursome, none of whom are either visually impaired or amphibious, had played at The Cavern twice before and were looking forward to their return.
"This is the third time we've done this and it is always a great night out," he said.
The band who have been peddling their brand of laid back blues rock since 2001, say they set out to fuse the "smoggy riffs of Uriah Heap" with the "prog rock leanings of Jethro Tull" and for all you under 40, "the quirky immediacy" of modern Merseydelic heroes The Coral.
No wonder they go down so well on the west coast.
With one album, Naked;from the forehead up, under their belts and another, Inner Sanctum, in the pipeline, this bunch of hard working retro-rockers look set to be a fixture on Hull's music scene for many years to come.
If you can't make it to Liverpool there are several chances to see the boys locally.
They will play The Springfield, Anlaby Common on Thursday, June 24th and The Adelphi on Thursday, July 1st.
To book a seat on The Cavern coach call Dave on 07741 223485 or email blindfrog@blindfrog.karoo.co.uk
Visit the website at www.blindfrogernie.co.uk for more details on the band.
