The official patent exam site is

http://www.uspto.gov/web/offices/dcom/gcounsel/oed.htm

which is where you can find out the "official" information about the patent bar exam. However, to take and pass the exam on the first try, you need a solid study course. I used Kayton's (a.k.a. Patent Resources Group) video course (I don't recommend attending an in-person course). Kayton's consists of 46 hours of video, a 2000 page manual, and a computerized bank of past exam questions, with explanations and cross-references. I think Kayton's is one of the more expensive course ($2,600 new), but you can probably find a used copy (In fact, if you are interested, and you can make an offer on mine - mbrysacz@mail.smu.edu).

So overall, it is probably going to cost you $400 to sit for the exam and at least another $500 for a decent prep course.

Hope this helps.
