In response to questions about the water park and cat licenses in Aurora, I am pleased to advise that the Water Splash pad will be shown in the 2002 Capital Budget. If Council approves the budget it will be installed in the next phase of the Town Park Development. This is part of a phased plan for the Town Park that Council approved previously.
In regard to pet licenses, the primary reason we license pets is so that if they manage to escape from where they live and are caught by animal control or simply a caring resident, a quick call to the Town offices can identify the animal to ensure it�s return to it�s owner. And yes, as of last year, Council also licenses cats for the same purpose.
