This site is my hobby, and initially meant as a learning curve for html. When I originally posted it 2 years ago I found that people were finding the site and and posting messages. Since then, even though most of the information contained in the different pages is that I personally use, I have chosen to share it with others, who may find some of it useful.

The site is not meant as a public service, as some of the pages are not kept regularly up-to-date.

The reason it is optimised for ADSL is because that is what I use, and during my learning curve - 2 years back - I had to learn how to optimise for different access speeds, different operating systems, different browsers and the different versions of the various browsers, to say nothing of the different languages the page has been viewed in.

If you are looking for a public service site, check out the pay website - www.yorkregiononline.come. Not only is that a local website with an active message board, it is kept regularly up-to-date, and has paid advertising to assist in paying the bills!!

If you don't like the speed of this site, why not try and make your own local website with message board. There are enough people in Aurora and the surrounding areas to accommodate lots of local input.

By the way, please note that all user's ips are viewable, even if you choose not to enter a real email address....
