Hi Kim,

... And welcome to Aurora!

Being Jewish I wouldn't be able to tell you about the local churches, except that when I have passed them on Sundays, all the local churches seem to be very full and very busy.

Everyone in Aurora is friendly, and I am positive that the local churches communities reflect that too, as a church is a part of the community it serves.

If I could suggest something: why don't you go along to the churches local to where you live, and have a chat with the vicar/preacher/rep, to get your own, personal, feel for that church. Also, from what I understand, you can go along to any church service (try, what will they do? Turn you away? I don't think that will happen....) to see whether that particular church suits you.

Do you have a Yellow Pages book yet? Has the local Aurora Welcome Wagon been to see you and your family yet?

I'm asking as both the Yellow Pages and the Aurora Phone Book (Welcome Wagon or local Town Hall) will have a list of all the demoninational churches in Aurora. If you don't have either, phone me and I'll get the Welcome Wagon to give you a visit and see what help I can be to you in the short term (I'm moving out of Aurora in July).

For now, take care, and Welcome again!
Jeannie
