She couldn't help the smile that pulled her lips up or the way her eyes crinkled at the sight of the bird. Oh, surely, surely, perhaps. Her reverie was broken when the bird started flapping, awkwardly at first, but then smoother as it generated enough wind to lift it off her hand. Like the smile earlier, the psychic couldn't help dismay from showing as the hawk moved away from her. (away. away. like so many others. all lost. Before her eyes, the hawk started changing, pulling in and out and then up, up into a taller, human figure. And even though the sight was vaguely (vaguely) familiar, Kamui stubbornly set her face into one of calm detachment because as familiar as the sight was, it was no Falcon. The hair was too long, the stature too short and from the hawk (she should've known. why would Falcon be a hawk? But oh, she couldn't stop herself.) came a woman. Pale silver hair (where was eiimen after all these years?) and deep blue eyes (and ryuu?) like the depths of the sea she'd seen once (so long ago..) stared back at her, peering into her own darkened eyes.

"Sorry, but I don't think that I am who you are searching for." Said the elaborately dressed girl, rings and adornments galore.

".. yes.. I can. see that." She wished she had some of her normal sarcasm, but she simply couldn't choke it out, not after such a disappointment. Hidden behind closed eyes, she pulled herself back together, raising all her shields: emotional, mental. Steeling her voice, she let her lips rise in a facsimile of a smile. Perhaps this stranger knew something. anything would've done "Who might you be, if I could ask."
