The mere mention of her friends brought her to a standstill again. She could feel the longing rise within her, but she once again stomped down on it. It was an odd sensation, to shove her desire down. The past half year she'd given in and let it surround her, cloaking her in sorrow, desperation, and the barest touches of hope. Hope (and Legacy's eyes sparkled with childish glee) that when she came back, someone (any! any would have been fine!) would still be here. Waiting in this lost land for the weary travelers who returned. ( maybe.. maybe kitiara? kind, motherly kitiara) But no, or maybe, she should've been more specific? For certainly, someone stood before her but not.. not.. (and unbidden came the image of Ryuu) "Not. really." The pause wasn't her fault; she couldn't have stopped it. Just one flicker was an accomplishment. "I. used to live here. And you? How long has the Pass been your home?" She tried (desperately..?) to make small talk, to keep her memories at bay for there would be time enough (oh most definitely) to reminisce here.
