I had just read that the extra credit is something about finding the derivative of an absolute value function. I also remember that the absolute value mother function

h(x)= lxl

has a cusp at x = 0. So therefore no derivative would exist at x = 0. I don't if this will help for the extra credit but its a good review for when derivatives do not exist.
