Subject: New AC1 server opening, I am forming an allegiance

Sometime between March and May, supposedly, Turbine is going to open a new AC1 world.

There is also going to be an expansion with a small graphics upgrade.

I am moving to the new server full time once it opens.

I am tired of all the bullshit and flooded loot market on Thistledown. It will be cool to start a new game.

AC1 is vastly different then when most of you played last.

Every monster got an experiance upgrade, and their defenses were upgraded as well. We also have much better armor and weapons now, which are both tinkerable to become even more powerful.

Most of you guys played when the max sword was 8-16 damage, well now the max sword damage is 22-40, and you can tinker it to be even higher.

There are also things called imbues that add an effect like a built in imperil or vul. Vuls do more damage, but are elemental specific. You can only have 1 imbue per weapon.

You can also tinker up armor to higher base levels. Example: You find a pair of AL 220 Amuli leggings, if the workmanship of the legs are low enough (5 or under), and the workmanship is high enough (up to 10) you can add 200 AL points to the leggings to make them 420 AL base. The more tinks you do the riskier the next tink becomes, so you need higher workmanship salvage (steel for armor) to increase your chance of success. If you fail, the piece is destroyed.

Leveling is much easier now, and you can do quest to change your template after creation. Even though they got rid of the Exp chain dynamic, they still made it easier to level than 3 yrs ago.

There is a ton of content. The distribution of monsters across the landscape is totally different. There are a ton more quests. There is player housing.

The reason I still enjoy playing AC over other MMORPGs is because I can accomplish a lot in an hour or two of playing. I can solo and still do well. I don't need to rest for 5 mins after each fight to recoup.

The only real timesink in AC is buffing, and with third party programs like El tank and Nerfus Buffus II, buffing is drastically easier. Turbine is also working on a way to make buffing easier without the tools.

The third party programs to me really enhance gameplay and makes it soo much less tedious.

So, if you are not really playing anything, I recommend giving AC another try.

Also, they removed the Dark Majesty expansion restrictions, so if you never bought the expansion, you will now have access to all content.

Please email me for more information if you like.

I don't know yet what my names will be on the new server when it opens, but I will post here, and on the Vault boards.
